{"id":4545,"date":"2023-05-21T07:35:42","date_gmt":"2023-05-21T00:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/samyenlinhchi.com\/cooking\/?p=4545"},"modified":"2023-05-21T07:35:42","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T00:35:42","slug":"tangy-lemon-brownies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/samyenlinhchi.com\/cooking\/tangy-lemon-brownies.html","title":{"rendered":"Tangy Lemon Brownies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>How to make Tangy Lemon Brownies<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4546\" src=\"http:\/\/samyenlinhchi.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/347620547_1282835705644800_271962167080144965_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"683\" height=\"1024\" srcset=\"https:\/\/samyenlinhchi.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/347620547_1282835705644800_271962167080144965_n.jpg 683w, https:\/\/samyenlinhchi.com\/cooking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/347620547_1282835705644800_271962167080144965_n-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 683px) 100vw, 683px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Ingredients:<\/h2>\n<p><strong>For the brownies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2\/3 cup softened salted butter (160 g or 5 oz)<\/p>\n<p>1 cup of sugar (225 g or 7 oz)<\/p>\n<p>2 large eggs<\/p>\n<p>4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice<\/p>\n<p>zest from 2 lemons<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 teaspoon of salt<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/4 cups of plain flour (190 g or 6 1\/4 oz)<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the Icing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 cup of icing\/powdered sugar (150 g or 4 3\/4 oz)<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice<\/p>\n<h2>Instructions<\/h2>\n<p><strong>To make brownies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Line a 20 cm (8 inch) or 22cm (9 inch) square cake tin with baking paper and preheat oven to 180 \u00b0C (350 \u00b0F).<\/p>\n<p>Place the butter and sugar into a large mixing bowl and stir till combined.<\/p>\n<p>Mix in the eggs one at a time until just combined \u2013 do not overmix.<\/p>\n<p>Add lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and flour and stir to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer the batter to the prepared tin and smooth the top.<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 20 -25 minutes or until lightly golden and a cake tester\/toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.<\/p>\n<p>Allow to cool completely before icing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To make icing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combine the icing sugar and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth and spreadable.
